How Car Buyer Transport Works After You Purchase a Vehicle

Once you've completed your vehicle purchase, whether through an online platform, an out-of-state dealer, or a private seller, you call us and we handle everything from pickup to your front door. Here's what happens: you give us the seller's address (dealership, private home, or auction lot), your delivery address, and the vehicle details. We provide a firm quote right then.

We can coordinate directly with the selling dealer's lot manager or a private seller to schedule the pickup. If the seller needs a specific release form signed, we work through that process. Our drivers carry Bills of Lading that document the vehicle's condition at pickup, which protects both you and the seller.

From there, transit follows standard timelines: 2 to 5 days for regional routes, 5 to 7 days for cross-country. When the car arrives, you inspect it against the condition report, sign for delivery, and you're done. Your new purchase is home.

For online purchases from platforms like Carvana or Vroom where the vehicle is at a distribution hub, we pick up from their location and bring it to you. For Bring a Trailer or Cars & Bids purchases, we work with the seller to arrange a smooth pickup.

Car Buyer Shipping Costs and Smart Buying Tips

Shipping a purchased vehicle to Colorado typically costs $600 to $1,400 on open transport, which is often far less than the savings you found by buying out of state in the first place. If you saved $3,000 on a car in Texas versus what local Colorado dealers were asking, and shipping costs $800, you still come out $2,200 ahead without putting any miles on your new car.

Common routes: Texas to Colorado $700 to $1,000. California to Colorado $800 to $1,100. Florida to Colorado $1,100 to $1,400. Midwest to Colorado $700 to $1,000. These are open transport rates; enclosed adds 30% to 50% if you're buying something high-end.

One thing to keep in mind: make sure the sale is fully completed and the title is in order before scheduling transport. We can't pick up a vehicle the seller hasn't officially released. For dealer purchases, this is usually straightforward. For private sales, confirm that payment has cleared and the title is signed before we dispatch.
